Pipe Coating

Automatic Coating has developed an automated shop applied pipe coating system with their Automatic Precision Coater and Wheelabrator. This system has enabled Automatic Coating to be more cost effective (particularly in the areas of transportation savings) versus sending pipe back to the U.S. production mills for corrosion coatings. This innovative technology has allowed Automatic coating to enter the market and compete on pipe coating offerings for the Canadian oil and gas industry. This technology provides repeatable quality in an automated fashion and was called out as the specified coating solution for the Keystone Pipe Line Project in 2011-2012.

Automatic Coating has been able to grow by developing safe and environmentally friendly services to the oil and gas industry and has allowed the company to grow offering patented solutions.
